History

The global pandemic that drastically spread in March 2020 led to a broad, global stock market crash and rush toward the safe haven of precious metals. American Eagle demand surged to a point that the US Mint ran out of on-hand 2020 American Eagle Silver Coins at the West Point Mint. The mint first cutback on staffing to keep employees safe, and later closed the West Point Mint for seven days.
