In 2020, the US Mint and Royal Mint each contributed two bullion pieces to joint sets the mints released in honor of the Mayflower. The US Mint and Royal Mint each struck 1/4 oz proof gold coins for a joint set with a mintage of 5,350 coins available in total, 4,850 of which were sold by the United States Mint. The two mints also combined on a 1 oz silver two-piece set, with the US Mint offering a 1 oz silver medal and the Royal Mint a 1 oz silver coin. The US Mint issued its own 1/4 oz reverse proof specimen as well that was not matched by the Royal Mint.


On the obverse of the 2020 Proof American 400th Anniversary of the Mayflower 1/4 oz Gold Coin is an indigenous family. These figures represent the Wampanoag, the first tribe to interact with the Pilgrims in the New World. The inscriptions include PATUXET, $10, and E PLURIBUS UNUM.


The reverse side of 2020 Proof American 400th Anniversary of the Mayflower Gold Coins comes with a depiction of two Pilgrims. The man and woman shown here are in left-profile relief and gaze out toward the horizon as they await the wonders of the New World. The inscriptions include 1620, PLYMOUTH, 2020, IN GOD WE TRUST, and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The weight, purity, and metal content are also noted.


Prior to this set, the Royal Mint and US Mint last partnered on a joint release in 2004. The Legacies of Freedom Silver Bullion Coin Set issued in January of that year offered a 2003 American Eagle Silver Coin and a 2020 British Britannia Silver Coin.

Can I choose the method of shipping?

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.

Will I need to sign for my package?

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.

What about International Orders?

Provident is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.
