History

The Mayflower picked up its first batch of Pilgrims from Holland and departed for the southern coast of England. After spending several days anchored at Southampton, the Mayflower departed for the New World in September 1620. After 10 weeks, the ship reached the shores of North America at Cape Cod. The ship dropped anchor on November 21, 1620.
