Reverse

Homer Simpsons is depicted on the reverse design of 2020 Tuvalu Homer 1 oz Gold Coins. This design depicts the affable character uttering his favorite phrase of frustration, DOh. In true Homer-style, the O in DOh is made from a sprinkled donut from which he has taken a big bite. The background field has sprinkles falling throughout and there are inscriptions on this side of Matt Groening, the P mint mark of the Perth Mint, and the trademark information for the images.

History

The Perth Mint released its first Simpsons-themed coins in 2019 to celebrate the 30^th anniversary of the animated series. The initial coins included a five-coin silver proof release with colorized images of the main members of the Simpson family. Subsequent silver bullion releases featured characters like Homer, Bart, and Krusty the Clown. This Homer coin is the first gold bullion coin from the series.
