The American Eagle Palladium Coin is the fourth version of the American Eagle introduced by the United States Mint. Previous releases in the series include the 1986 debut of the gold and silver coins, as well as the 1997 debut of the platinum coin. The palladium coin joins this series by reviving its own historic US coin design for annual releases that feature the same imagery on the obverse and reverse. Right now, you can buy 2020-W Burnished American Eagle 1 oz Palladium Coins online from Provident Metals in perfect condition.
Highlights:
With your purchase of the 2020-W Burnished American Eagle 1 oz Palladium Coin, Provident Metals has specimens available that earned perfect certifications from the NGC. Coins in MS70 condition exhibit full, original mint luster with no detracting flaws of any kind on the design elements or fields of the coins. You will also find an Early Release label in the slab that houses these coins. An Early Release coin is one that was received by the NGC for certification within the opening 30-day window following its release by the US Mint.
Obverse
On the obverse side of 2020-W Burnished American Eagle 1 oz Palladium Coins is Winged Liberty. Created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman, the image shows Liberty in left-profile relief with a winged Phrygian cap on her head. The design field includes inscriptions of Liberty, In God We Trust, 2020, and the AW initials of Weinman.
Reverse
The reverse face of the 2020 Burnished American Eagle Palladium Coin includes the image of an American bald eagle. Also designed by Weinman, this 1907 work of art shows an American bald eagle perched on a rocky outcrop as its wings are raised up and it clutches a laurel sapling. Inscriptions on this face of the coin read United States of America, $25, 1 oz Pd .9995 Fine, and E Pluribus Unum.
History
The debut of the American Eagle Palladium Coin marked the return of one of Americas most popular circulation coin designs of the 20th century. The American Eagle Gold Coin uses the Liberty image from the $20 Double Eagle Gold Coin in 1907. The American Eagle Silver Coin features Walking Liberty from the US half dollar. Now, the famed Mercury Dime image introduced in 1916 joins this list with its placement on the palladium coin.
