The American Eagle Series of bullion coins marks its 35th anniversary in 2021. The series debuted in 1986 with gold and silver coins available boasting images of Liberty on the obverse and the American bald eagle on the reverse. These designs have not changed, until now. By mid-2021, the 2021 American Eagle Silver Coin will feature its new reverse design, but the initial release of the coins retains the original reverse design. Right now, you can get 2021 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins in perfect condition online from Provident Metals.
Provident Metals is happy to offer the 2021 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins in this product listing with a near-perfect certification from the NGC. A Mint State 69 coin exhibits full, original mint luster and features a maximum of only two minor detracting flaws. Examples of the flaws at this grade level include minuscule contact marks or hairlines that must be located outside the primary focal points of the coin in order to earn this grade.
Walking Liberty from Adolph A. Weinman features in the obverse design of the 2021 American Eagle Silver Coins. The design was created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman for the US Mint and was originally used on the US Half Dollar from 1916 to 1947. The inscriptions on this face of the coin read Liberty, In God We Trust, and 2021.
For the final time, the heraldic eagle is shown on the reverse face of 2021 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins. This image of the heraldic eagle was modernized in 1986 by John Mercanti. The design shows the bald eagle supporting the US national shield with its wings spread wide. The eagle clutches a ribbon with E Pluribus Unum in its beak, with the olive branch of peace and arrows of war in its talons. There are 13 stars arranged in a triangular formation over its head. Inscriptions on this side of the coin include United States of America and 1 oz. Fine Silver One Dollar.
These 2021 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins represent some of the last coins from the US Mint with the original reverse design. A new reverse design from Emily Damstra debuts on the 2021 coins released after mid-year.
