Obverse
Queen Elizabeth II features on the obverse of the 2021 Antique Niue Back to the Future DeLorean Shaped Silver Coins. This portrait of the Queen was designed in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley and originally served as the fourth-generation effigy of Her Majesty on British coins through 2015. This portrait depicts the Queen in right-profile relief with the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. The field includes inscriptions of ELIZABETH II, NIUE, 5 DOLLARS, and 2021, as well as the trademark and copyright details of the DeLorean design.
Reverse
In the reverse design of the 2021 Antique Niue Back to the Future DeLorean Shaped 2 oz Silver Coin is a depiction of the DMC-12. Better known simply as a DeLorean, the two-door, gull-wing vehicle was developed by John DeLorean and featured prominently in the Back to the Future film trilogy. History
DeLorean automobiles never enjoyed great success on the roads of America. Production of the vehicles at the assembly plant in Northern Ireland began in January 1981 and concluded in December 1982 resulting in 1981, 1982, and 1983 model years being produced and released before the companys bankruptcy.
