The obverse of 2021 Antique Tuvalu Gods of Olympus Hades Silver Coins features an image of Queen Elizabeth II. In this right-profile relief, Her Majesty is shown with the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara on her head. The design was created in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley and debuted on Royal Mint coinage that same year. Inscriptions on this side read QUEEN ELIZABETH II, 1 OZ 9999 AG, 2021, TUVALU, and 1 DOLLAR.
Reverse
On the reverse field of the 2021 Antique Gods of Olympus Hades 1 oz Silver Coin is a depiction of the God of the Underworld. Also known as the Ruler of the Dead, Hades presides over the realm of the world that bears his name and is home to the dead. He sits on his throne as he leans forward while his three-headed dog, Cerberus, sits at his side. Inscriptions on this side include only HADES and the P mint mark of Perth Mint.
History
The relaunched Gods of Olympus Series combines the six designs from the previously issued Gods of Olympus and Goddesses of Olympus collections. These separate three-coin series were introduced in 2014 and 2015, respectively.
