Here, Her Majesty is shown in right-profile relief wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. This design was created initially for the Royal Mint in 2015 and continues to feature on the coinage of various Commonwealth nations. The inscriptions read QUEEN ELIZABETH II, 5 OZ 9999 AG, 2021, TUVALU, and 5 DOLLARS.
Reverse
The reverse face of the 2021 Antique Tuvalu Gods of Olympus Hades Silver Coin features a vision of Hades. The ruler of the underworld, Hades is shown here as it sits upon a throne made from human skeletons. At his side, a fearsome three-headed dog is ready to attack. The lone inscription on this side reads HADES.
History
The new Gods of Olympus Series features all six of the deities from Greek mythology that appeared in the original series: Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite. This time around, 2 oz antique silver blanks have been abandoned in favor of five total options. The new series offers 1 oz gold, 1 oz silver, 1 oz antique silver, 5 oz silver, and 5 oz antique silver options.
