The obverse side of 2021 Australian Kookaburra Platinum Coins features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This is the sixth-generation effigy of Her Majesty to grace Australian coins and the first since 1966 to include her full neckline and shoulders in the portrait field. The image shows the Queen at the age of 89 wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown. The field includes inscriptions of ELIZABETH II, AUSTRALIA, and 15 DOLLARS.

Reverse

On the reverse face of 2021 Australian Kookaburra 1/10 oz Platinum Coins is an image of a kookaburra. The bird is shown on its perch in a gum tree as it looks to its left, the right of the coin. Inscriptions on this side of the coin read AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA, 2021, 1/10 OZ 9995 PLATINUM, and the P mint mark of Perth Mint.

History

Australian Kookaburra Series coins have predominantly been offered in silver bullion since 1990. Though the exact weights have changed over the years, the modern series offers 1 oz, 10 oz, and 1 Kilo silver to investors each year.
