Obverse
Queen Elizabeth II features on the obverse side of 2021 Australian Lunar Ox 2 oz Gold Coins. The Queens effigy is a right-profile relief that showcases Her Majesty at the age of 89 wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown. The crown is a piece from the official Crown Jewels and has 1,333 diamonds in its setting weighing more than 300 karats. Inscriptions on this face of the coin read Elizabeth II, Australia, 2 oz 9999 Au, and 200 Dollars.
Reverse
An ox is featured standing amidst bamboo stalks on the reverse field of the 2021 Australian Lunar Ox 2 oz Gold Coin. The Year of the Ox comes second in the cycle of the Zodiac and occurs every 12th year going backward, including 2009, 1997, 1985, 1973, and 1961. People born under the sign of the ox are often tardy in action, but industrious and cautious when they do take action. Inscriptions on this side include Ox 2021 and the Chinese symbol for an ox.
