Each 2021 Australian Swan 1 oz Silver Coin is available in a protective plastic flip. The fifth release in the Silver Swan series comes with a low mintage of just 25,000 coins. Additionally, this issue features a special P5 mint mark on the reverse, marking the fifth anniversary of the series in place of the usual Perth Mint P mint mark.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2021 Australian Swan Silver Coin features Queen Elizabeth II in right-profile relief. This sixth-generation portrait, designed by Jody Clark, depicts the Queen at age 89 wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown. This design is commonly used on Australian coinage. Inscriptions read ELIZABETH II, 2021, AUSTRALIA, and 1 DOLLAR.
Reverse
On the reverse of 2021 Swan 1 oz Silver Coins, the Perth Mint presents a detailed image of a swan floating on the water. Swans are significant to Australia, particularly the black swan, which is native to the continent. The Perth Mint itself features a stylized swan in its logo, reflecting its connection to this graceful bird. The artwork showcases the swans curved neck as it dips toward the rippling surface below. Inscriptions include THE 1 OZ 9999 AUSTRALIAN SILVER SWAN and P5.
