The coins of the Queens Beast Series from the Royal Mint debuted in 2016. When the 10-coin collection launched, it featured the Lion of England on 2 oz silver, 1 oz gold, and 1/4 oz gold coins. In 2017, the series was expanded to include an additional silver weight and an all-new platinum coin. Today, you can get 2021 British Queens Beast White Horse 1 oz Platinum Coins online from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
The White Horse of Hanover comes from Elector George of Hanover who assumed the throne of England following the death of Queen Anne. Ascending the throne in 1714, Elector George of Hanover became King George I and was the first monarch from the House of Hanover. His Royal Arms included a new fourth-quadrant design that features the arms of the House of Hanover, to include the White Horse.
Obverse
Queen Elizabeth II is depicted on the obverse side of 2021 British Queens Beast White Horse 1 oz Platinum Coins. This is the fifth-generation portrait of the Queen to grace British coins and was designed in 2015 by Jody Clark. The portrait shows the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown with her image set against a background field that has a guilloche design element. The inscriptions on this face of the coin read 100 Pounds, Elizabeth II, and D. R. Reg. F.D.
Reverse
The White Horse of Hanover stands on its hind legs supporting the Royal Arms of George I in the reverse design of 2021 British Queens Beast White Horse Platinum Coins. The White Horse was a symbol of the Hanover dynasty, the rulers of a small German realm. The White Horse supports the Royal Arms adopted in 1714 by King George I and used through the reigns of King George I, King George II, and King George III until 1801 when it was later modified. The arms include a quartered shield with the Three Lions of England and Lion of Scotland in the first quadrant, the French lilies in the second quadrant, and the Harp of Ireland in the third quadrant. The fourth quadrant features the arms of the House of Hanover. Inscriptions on this side include White Horse of Hanover, 1 oz Fine Platinum 999.5, and 2021.
History
In 1801, the Royal Arms during the reign of King George III was modified. The arms of the House of Hanover was moved to inescutcheon at the center of the quadrants with the Three Lions of England placed in the first and fourth quadrants and the Lion of Scotland returned to the second quadrant.
