Introduced in 1988, the Canadian Maple Leaf 1 oz Silver Coin debuted second in the Canadian Maple Leaf Series alongside the Canadian Maple Leaf Platinum Coin. Obverse
On the obverse side of 2021 Canadian Maple Leaf 1 oz Silver Coins in this Monster Box, you will find an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. This right-profile bust of Her Majesty is the fourth to feature on Canadian coins during her reign. Introduced in 2003, it was designed by Susanna Blunt and is just the second monarch portrait from a Canadian artist. More significantly, it is the first design during the Queens reign to lack a portrait on her head. Inscriptions include Elizabeth II and 5 Dollars 2021. The background field on this side has radial lines to help reflect light in unique ways as a security element.
Reverse
The reverse face of the 2021 Canadian Maple Leaf Silver Coins includes the sugar maple leaf. This beautiful design is based on the 1979 of the national emblem from Walter Ott. The background field on this side of the coin also has radial lines, while also featuring a laser micro-engraved maple leaf privy mark. That privy mark has 21 visible under magnification. The inscriptions on this side of the coin read Canada, 9999, and Fine Silver 1 oz Argent Pur.
History
Canadian Maple Leaf Silver Coins have long been available only in 1 oz silver. The only other major coin program with .9999 pure silver content are the major coins from the Perth Mint: the Kookaburra, Koala, and Kangaroo. Those series only recently introduced .9999 pure silver in 2018 and 2016, respectively.

2021 Canadian Maple Leaf 1 oz Silver Coin Monster Boxes are available here with 500 coins in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The coins are housed inside of mint tubes of 25 coins with a total of 20 tubes in all inside the box. Monster Boxes are sealed by the Royal Canadian Mint for delivery to coin dealers and will arrive sealed with your purchase.
