This years Four Seasons Edition of Canadian Maple Leaf Silver Coins focuses on a Year of Peace. There are gold-plated designs overlaying the image of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse, each one offering a different internationally-recognized symbol of peace to capture the theme in brilliant gold. Obverse

Captured in right-profile relief, this is the Queens fourth-generation image to appear on Canadian coins and the first Canadian portrait during her reign to lack a crown or tiara. It was created in 2003 by Susanna Blunt, just the second Canadian artist to ever create a monarch portrait for Canadian coinage. This side of the coin boasts the aforementioned peace symbols, with each one of the four coins offering a different glimpse of the peace symbol, peace hand sign, a dove, and a peace pipe. Reverse
