Obverse
In the obverse design of the 2021 Morgan Dollar Silver Coin, the field features the head of Lady Liberty facing left. She is wearing a Phrygian cap, a symbol of liberty, with the word LIBERTY inscribed on her coronet. Other inscriptions include E PLURIBUS UNUM and 2021.
Reverse
For the reverse of the 2021 CC Privy Morgan Dollar, the design element features a bald eagle with its wings outstretched, holding arrows and an olive branch in its talons. The inscriptions on this side read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, ONE DOLLAR, and the CC privy to honor the Carson City Mint.
History
In 2021, the Philadelphia Mint struck three of the five variations of the 2021 Morgan Dollar Silver Coin. In addition to a coin with no mint or privy mark, the Philadelphia Mint issued coins with O privy marks to honor the New Orleans Mint and CC privy marks to honor the Carson City Mint, both of which have closed since the era of the original Morgan Dollar Silver Coin.
