Each coin has a thin layer of colorization applied on the obverse design elements that was finished by a third-party dealer that enhances a number of colorized and gilded versions of popular BU coins.
Obverse
The obverse side of the 2021 Colorized American Eagle Silver Coin features Adolph A. Weinmans depiction of Walking Liberty. This image depicts Liberty in left-profile relief walking toward the sun on the horizon as it rises over a mountain peak in the distance. Her right hand reaches out for the sun as her left hand carries branches of oak and laurel. Inscriptions include Liberty, In God We Trust, and 2021.
With this colorized release, the application of the colorized lacquer is limited to the design element originally created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman. The figure of Liberty wears a dress brought to life with brilliant colors, while the American flag boasts its beautiful red, white, and blue colorization.
Reverse
On the reverse field of 2021 Colorized American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins is the image of the heraldic eagle of the United States. The heraldic eagle first appeared on US coins in 1794 as designed by Robert Scot, the 1st Chief Engraver of the United States Mint. John Mercanti, the 12th Chief Engraver of the US Mint (2006-2010) crafted this version of the heraldic eagle in 1986 for this series. Inscriptions on this side include United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, and 1 oz. Fine Silver One Dollar.

The 2021 American Eagle Silver Coins released early in the calendar year with the original design combinations, as found here. By mid-2021, the American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin was available with the new reverse design of the American bald eagle from Emily Damstra.
