In 2004, the series became the Somalia African Wildlife Collection and continued with new visuals of the bush elephant each year. In 2018, a new coin was added to the Somalia African Wildlife Collection that followed the same design patterns as the African Elephant. Obverse

In the obverse design of 2021 Colorized Somalia African Wildlife Leopard 1 oz Silver Coins, you will find the Somali coat of arms. The national shield consists of a crowned element on top of the shield and a field of horizontal lines with a single star at the center. The shield is supported by leopards on either side and boasts inscriptions of Somali Republic, 2021, and 100 Shillings. The date mark is split as 20 and 21 on either side of the seal.

Reverse

For the reverse design of the 2021 Colorized Somalia African Wildlife Leopard 1 oz Silver Coins, the Bavarian State Mint includes a depiction of a leopard that has climbed high into a tree. The leopard is one of the few big cats that will climb trees. It is also known to drag its kill up into the canopy with it to protect it from scavengers. History

African Wildlife Series coins originally consisted of only the African bush elephant design from 1999 to 2017. In 2018, these Leopard 1 oz Silver Coins were introduced and offer limited mintages each year of just 30,000 silver coins.
