History

Anguilla is one of the eight members of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank. The EC8 Coin Series first debuted in 2018 and features unique designs for each member of this bank. Since the series began, the Scottsdale Mint has released various silver and gold coins for both collectors and investors. Each date mark in this series features eight different designs to represent each nation of the Eastern Caribbean.

Obverse

The obverse of the 2021 EC8 Anguilla 1 oz Gold Coin BU shows the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Ian Rank-Broadley. This image was created in 1998 and has been used on many coin designs from different mint releases around the world. Her Majestys head is surrounded by two leaves, as well as the purity, weight, and value of the coin. The obverse also shows two inscription labels: QUEEN ELIZABETH II and EASTERN CARIBBEAN CENTRAL BANK.

Reverse
