On the obverse of 2021 EC8 Antigua and Barbuda Silver Coins is a depiction of Queen Elizabeth II. The sovereign head of Antigua and Barbuda, Her Majesty features on the obverse of all coins in the EC8 Series. This is the fourth-generation portrait of the Queen from British currency and was designed for the Royal Mint of England in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley. The portrait of the Queen is surrounded by fern leaves that form a frame around the design. The inscriptions on this face include EASTERN CARIBBEAN CENTRAL BANK, 1 OZ .999 SILVER, QUEEN ELIZABETH II, and TWO DOLLARS.

Reverse

The reverse side of 2021 EC8 Antigua and Barbuda 1 oz Silver Coins features an image of the frigate bird. The frigate bird is a species of seabird that is common throughout the tropical and subtropical regions of the world, making it common on several of the islands throughout the Caribbean. History

The EC8 Series coins come in silver and gold for each of the eight designs issued annually. The 1 oz silver coins come in BU and colorized proof options. The 1 oz gold coins come in those same two versions, BU and colorized proof, but with much lower mintage figures.
