Produced at a private American mint, the Niue Athena Owl Stackables represent a special collection of silver coins with historic design visuals and distinctive additional features. The Niue Athena Series is one of few silver bullion collections with a stackable design element on the rim of both fields. Right now, you can buy 2021 Niue Athena Owl Stackable 1 oz Silver Coins online from Provident Metals.
With your purchase of a 2021 Niue Athena Owl Stackable 1 oz Silver Coin, you will receive a specimen that is in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The most notable physical feature of these coins is the stackable rim design. The outer rim of the design field on the obverse and reverse of each coin includes alternative raised- and lowered-fields that enable strong, secure stacking. The coins are available for individual purchase inside of protective plastic flips. You can also purchase the coins in tubes of 20, purple boxes of 100 with five tubes, or Master Boxes of 500 coins with 25 tubes.
The obverse of 2021 Niue Athena Owl Stackable 1 oz Silver Coins features the right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here in the fifth-generation design effigy in use on Commonwealth coins in the South Pacific. This particular design shows the Queen with the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara on her head. The design features inscriptions of Elizabeth II, Niue, Two Dollars, and 2021.
On the reverse side of 2021 Niue Athena Owl Stackable Silver Coins is an image of the Owl of Athena. This beautiful design features Ancient Greek details that include the owl on a small branch with its wings at its sides. There is an Ancient Greek inscription in front of its face, an olive sprig behind its feathers, and a crescent moon above its head. The text inscriptions on this side read 1 oz .999 Fine Silver.
The Owl of Athena first appeared on silver coins in the tetradrachm denomination in Ancient Greece in 510 BCE. Between 510 and 38 BCE, the most popular design on the silver tetradrachm was that of the goddess Athena on the obverse and this Owl of Athena on the reverse.
