Queen Elizabeth II is found on the obverse of 2021 Niue The Faces of the Empire Stormtrooper Shaped Silver Coins. The design found here is that of Queen Elizabeth II in right-profile relief wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. This portrait was created in 1998 by the Royal Mint by Ian Rank-Broadley to serve as the fourth-generation image of the Queen on British coinage. The image is flanked by inscriptions of ELIZABETH II, NIUE, TWO DOLLARS, 2021, 1 OZ 999 FINE SILVER, and the LucasFilm trademark.

Reverse

A Stormtrooper helmet is depicted in the reverse design of 2021 Niue The Faces of the Empire Stormtrooper Shaped 1 oz Silver Coin. The Stormtrooper helmet is finished with white colorization to accurately capture the appearance of the armor. There are other colorized shades such as black for the eyes and grey.

History

The Faces of the Empire Series at New Zealand Mint started in 2021 with the release of a silver coin shaped like the helmet of Darth Vader. This coin, the Stormtrooper, is the second release of the collection. Following this coin, the mint issued a TIE Fighter Helmet design.
