The obverse of the 2021 (P) American Eagle Silver Coins features Walking Liberty. Created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman, this visual of Liberty depicts her figure walking toward the sun on the horizon. The inscriptions include Liberty, In God We Trust, and 2021.

Reverse

On the reverse side of 2021 (P) American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins is a depiction of the heraldic eagle. This is the final use of the heraldic eagle seal on the American Eagle Silver Coin. It was modernized for this series in 1986 by John Mercanti. The inscriptions include United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, and 1 oz. Fine Silver – One Dollar.

History

These 2021 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins represent the last release of the coins with the original heraldic eagle design. The coins were part of an Emergency Release from the Philadelphia Mint to help meet the demand of investors during the COVID-19 pandemic. None of the coins have a P mint mark, however.
