The American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin in Brilliant Uncirculated condition is offered annually by the US Mint. Under the legislation that authorized the production of the coins starting in 1986, the US Mint must meet the demand for the BU American Eagle by continuing coining as long as demand persists each year. During the COVID-19 pandemic and the corresponding demand for silver, the West Point Mint couldnt keep up with demand and support safe staffing levels. As such, the Philadelphia Mint issued emergency releases of the coin to support demand. Provident Metals now has 2021 (P) American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins available to you for purchase online in near-perfect condition.
Highlights:
When you purchase a 2021 (P) American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin online from this Provident Metals listing, you will receive a coin that is in near-perfect condition. The NGC issues a Mint State 69 grade to coins that showcase full, original mint luster and come with a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. The included First Day of Issue labels indicate that the coins were received by the NGC for certification within 24 hours of the US Mint releasing the coins for sale.
Obverse
Walking Liberty features on the obverse of the 2021 (P) American Eagle Silver Coins. This design comes from Adolph A. Weinman and was created in 1916. Inspired by a French coin design known as the sower, it shows Liberty in left-profile relief wearing the American flag around her figure. She carries the branches of oak and laurel in her left hand as she reaches out for the sun on the horizon with her right hand. Inscriptions on this face of the coin read Liberty and 2021.
Reverse
For the reverse of 2021 (P) American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins, the US Mint features the heraldic eagle design for the final time. Due to be replaced by mid-2021, the heraldic eagle showcases a front-facing bald eagle with wings spread as it supports the US national shield. The eagle clutches the arrows of war and an olive branch of peace in its talons, with a triangular cluster of 13 stars over its head. Inscriptions on this side include United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, and 1 oz. Fine Silver – One Dollar.
History
American Eagle Silver Coins will get a new reverse design by mid-2021. After suspending production of this design on 2021-dated coins in summer, the US Mint will resume coining with new dies bearing the new eagle design on the remaining 2021-dated coins it issues.
