The 2021 release of American Eagle Silver Coins from the United States Mint marked the 35th anniversary of the series. The coins were issued in two waves. The first featured the original reverse design for the final time, while the second wave offered up the new design on the reverse. Among the Type 1 issues, the Philadelphia Mint issued an emergency release to help meet demand for the coins amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Provident Metals now has 2021 (P) American Eagle 1 oz Silver Eagle Type 1 Coins available to you for purchase online in near-perfect condition.
When you purchase the 2021 (P) American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin in this product listing at Provident Metals, you will receive a Type 1 release with a near-perfect certification. The obverse of 2021 (P) American Eagle Silver Coins features the left-profile effigy of Liberty. Known as Walking Liberty, this vision was created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman and shows Liberty walking toward the sun on the horizon with the American flag draped around her figure. The inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and 2021.
On the reverse of the 2021 (P) American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins is an image of the heraldic eagle of the United States. Designed for this coin in 1986 by John Mercanti, the visual of the bald eagle in front-facing relief was first created in the 1790s by Robert Scot. This field of the coin includes inscriptions of UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER, and ONE DOLLAR.
In 2021, the United States Mint issued American Eagle Silver Coins in Type 1 and Type 2 versions to mark the 35th anniversary of the series. The Type 1 coins marked the history of the coin with the final issue of the heraldic eagle, while the Type 2 coins featured the new design and celebrated the future of the series.
