Provident Metals is proud to offer the 2021 Proof American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold 2-Coin Designer Set to you for purchase online with the original US Mint packaging. This two-coin set comes with individual plastic capsules for each coin. The coins are housed together inside of a classic, black US Mint presentation box. The outer shipping sleeve that holds the presentation box has artwork on the cover that celebrates both the original design and the new design from Jennie Norris. Each set comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from the mint.
Obverse
Lady Liberty features on the obverse of both coins in the 2021 Proof American Eagle Gold 2-Coin Designer Set. This effigy was created in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens and features Liberty in front-facing relief. With the U.S. Capitol Building and sun rays at her back, Liberty marches forward with a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left as a ring of 50 stars encircles the design element. The inscriptions on this face include LIBERTY and 2021.
Reverse
There are two different designs on the reverse of the coins in the 2021 Proof American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold 2-Coin Designer Sets. On the Type 1 coin, you will find the original design in the series from Miley Busiek. This image depicts a male eagle returning to the family nest where a female and hatchling rest. The Type 2 coin features an all-new depiction of the bald eagle. Created by Jennie Norris, it shows a bald eagle in left-profile relief with incredible layers of detail in its plumage and physical features.
History
This beautiful 2-Coin Designer Set celebrates the first 35 years of the series, and the hopes for the next 35 years in the series. Miley Busieks image on the reverse of the Type 1 coin has been exclusive to the American Eagle Gold Coin since 1986, while the new reverse design from Jennie Norris will carry the program forward for decades to come.
