On May 16, 1771, 1,000 colonial militia members under the leadership of the Royal Governor of North Carolina clashed on a field near Great Alamance Creek with a force of 2,000 men known as the Regulators. This battle is officially classified as the final battle in the War of the Regulation, but many historians also cite it as one of the earliest skirmishes and signs of the impending American Revolution. Provident Metals happily offers the new 2021 Proof American Revolution Battle of Alamance 1 oz Silver Coin to you for purchase online.

Obverse
The obverse of 2021 Proof American Revolution Battle of Alamance Silver Coins showcases militia members forming a battle line as each individual levels a musket to fire at the enemy. The Battle of Alamance consisted of a force of 1,000 colonial troops under Royal Governor William Tryon and a colonist militia of 2,000 Regulators, American Colonists who lived in the western counties of North Carolina and viewed North Carolinas colonial government as corrupt. Inscriptions on this face read Battle of Alamance and 1771-2021.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the 2021 Proof Battle of Alamance 1 oz Silver Coins is a depiction of the Liberty Tree. The Liberty Tree was an elm that stood near Boston Common and was a rallying place for American Colonists upset about the rule of the British. Inscriptions on this side include America, $1, and a banner in the eagles beak that reads Mesa Grande Sovereign Nation.
History
The Battle of Alamance resulted in just nine deaths among the Regulators and between nine and 27 deaths among the Royal Troops of the colony. Though the death totals were low, it was widely viewed as a victory for the provincial government.
