The American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin is typically struck at the West Point Mint. As of 2001, the West Point Mint has had the primary responsibility of producing BU American Eagle Silver Coins for investors. As of 2011, the San Francisco Mint has resumed coining the BU American Eagle Silver Coin on a supplemental basis to help expand coining capacity for the US Mint. Provident Metals currently has near-perfect 2021 (S) American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins available to you for purchase online.

The included Early Release designation indicates specimens that were received by the NGC within 30 days of the original release point from the US Mint.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2021 (S) American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin features the design of Walking Liberty. This design was created by Adolph A. Weinman and features a left-profile image of Liberty as she walks toward the sun on the horizon. This vision of Liberty depicts her with her right hand reaching out toward the sun, her left hand carrying branches of oak and laurel, and the American flag is draped around her figure. The inscriptions include Liberty, In God We Trust, and 2021.
Reverse
On the reverse side of 2021 (S) American Eagle Silver Coins is an image of the heraldic eagle. The heraldic eagle is Americas oldest coin design still in use. First created in 1792 for the government by Robert Scot, the official emblem of the federal government appeared on US coins starting in 1794. John Mercantis version found here depicts a powerful eagle in front-facing relief as it supports the US national shield. The eagle clutches the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace in its talons. Inscriptions on this face of the coin read United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, and 1 oz. Fine Silver – One Dollar.
History
The San Francisco Mint was the original site of BU American Eagle Silver Coin production from 1986 to 1998. Starting in 2011, coining resumed at the San Francisco Mint on a supplemental basis to support the supply chain for the coins. None of these coins feature a mint mark. The Monster Boxes the coins are shipped from the mint to dealers inside of are identifiable as a San Francisco Mint item.
