Each year, the United States Mint issues the American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin at the West Point Mint branch facility. When demand exceeds the capacity of the West Point Mint, the US Mint turns to the San Francisco Mint branch facility for supplemental production capacity. These coins never feature mint marks, but can be identified by dealers and graders as San Francisco products based on the serial numbers and straps on the Monster Boxes the US Mint uses to ship the coins. Provident Metals currently has perfect condition 2021 (S) American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins available for you to purchase online.

Obverse
Walking Liberty features in the obverse design element of 2021 American Eagle Silver Coins. The design was created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman and is said to have been inspired by a French coin design known as the sower, a female figure walking along sowing seeds into a field. In this design, Liberty walks with her right hand outstretched as she carries the branches of oak and laurel in her left hand. The inscriptions on this side of the coin include Liberty, In God We Trust, and 2021.
Reverse
The heraldic eagle of the United States is found on the reverse field of 2021 (S) American Eagle Silver Coins. This is the final appearance of the heraldic eagle design in the series. Created for this collection in 1986 by John Mercanti, the design is a modern update on a design that has featured in various reliefs on US coins since 1794. The image depicts a bald eagle supporting the US national shield. The eagle clutches the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace in its talons with a triangular cluster of 13 stars over its head. The inscriptions read United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, and 1 oz. Fine Silver – 50 Dollars.
History
American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins were originally produced by the San Francisco Mint for more than a decade. From 1986 when the series debuted until 1998, the San Francisco branch struck the coins each year. After being issued by the Philadelphia Mint in 1999 and 2000, production shifted to the West Point Mint in 2001, where it remains to this day.
