An engraving of Jesus in the style ofChrist Pantocrator, inspired by a mosaic in the United States’ oldest cathedral, dominates the reverse. He is flanked by the letters Alpha and Omega and surrounded at the rim by the inscriptions “I HAVE KEPT THE FAITH” and “I HAVE FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT,” in reference to II Timothy 4: 7-8.

History
