The 2021 release of American Eagle Silver Coins marks the 35^th anniversary of the series. As part of its celebration, the US Mint is redesigning one field of the coin for the first time in history. By mid-2021, a new reverse design element will debut on the coins to replace the existing heraldic eagle image. History

Burnished American Eagle Silver Coins debuted at the US Mint in 2006. The coins have been available from 2006-2008 and 2011-present. All Burnished American Eagles are produced at the West Point Mint.
