Obverse

On the obverse of the coins in the 2021-W Proof American Eagle Gold 2-Coin Designer Set is Liberty. This design comes from the $20 Double Eagle Gold Coin and was created in 1907. It features Libertys full-length figure with a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. Sun rays frame her figure from behind while a circle of 50 stars surrounds the design field. Inscriptions include LIBERTY and 2021.

Reverse

The reverse of 2021-W Proof American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold 2-Coin Designer Sets features two different options. The Type 1 coin has the original design of a family of bald eagles in and around the nest, while the Type 2 coin shows a bald eagles head in left-profile relief. Inscriptions on these coins read the same, but are arranged differently. Those inscriptions include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, IN GOD WE TRUST, 5 DOLLARS, 1/10 OZ. FINE GOLD, and a W mint mark from the West Point Mint.
