Obverse

On the obverse of 2021-W Proof American Eagle Gold Coins is the effigy of Lady Liberty. Created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, this image shows Liberty walking into the future with Washington D.C. behind her as she leads the nation forward. She holds up a torch in her right hand and carries an olive branch in her left. The U.S. Capitol Building is visible near her feet, with sun rays emanating from the horizon and a ring of 50 stars around the field. Inscriptions include Liberty, 2021, and the W mint mark of the West Point Mint.

Reverse

The reverse side of the 2021 Proof American Eagle Gold Coins comes with the all-new bald eagle image. Designed by Jennie Norris of the US Mint Artistic Infusion Program, this vision focuses on the head of the bald eagle. There is an incredible level of detail in the new design with the birds plumage easily visible down to the individual feather. Inscriptions on this face read United States of America, In God We Trust, E Pluribus Unum, and the weight, metal content, and face value of each coin.
