This set was more than just a commemorative date in the series with distinctive visuals. Obverse
The obverse of 2021-W Reverse Proof American Eagle Silver Coins features a portrait of Liberty known as Walking Liberty. Said to be based on the famous French gold coin design known as the Sower, this effigy of Liberty is a left-profile relief of her full-length figure as she walks toward the sun rising over a mountain on the horizon. The field includes inscriptions of LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and 2021.
Reverse
On the reverse side of 2021-W Reverse Proof American Eagle 1 oz Coins is an image of the heraldic eagle of the United States. Designed by John Mercanti in 1986, this visual shows a bald eagle in front-facing relief. The eagle has its wings spread with the US national shield on its chest, the arrows of war in one talon, and the olive branch of peace in the other. Inscriptions on this side read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER, ONE DOLLAR, and the W mint mark of the West Point Mint.
