From 1986 to 2021, the United States Mint used an image of a family of bald eagles on the reverse of the coins in the American Eagle Gold Series. History

Jennie Norris is a member of the United States Mint Artistic Infusion Program. Her design of the bald eagle head chosen for this series is her first major contribution to American coining.
