This 1907 creation shows Liberty in front-facing relief as she walks with sun rays at her back holding up a torch in her right hand and carrying an olive branch in her left hand. The U.S. Capitol features in the background with a ring of 50 stars around the entire design field. Inscriptions read LIBERTY and 2022.

A powerful bald eagle is found on the reverse field of 2022 American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coins. This image was created in 2020 by Jennie Norris and made its debut on the coins in 2021 for the 35th anniversary of the series.
