After releasing two versions of the coin in 2021, the old reverse and the new, the United States Mint now moves forward with only the bald eagle portrait from Jennie Norris featuring on the coins. Obverse
Liberty is found in the obverse design of 2022 American Eagle Gold Coins. Designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, this vision of Liberty is set in front-facing relief. The depiction shows Liberty in the foreground with a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. Behind the figure of Liberty, you will find the U.S. Capitol Building at her feet, sun rays in the background, and a ring of stars. Inscriptions include LIBERTY and 2022.
Reverse
An American bald eagle is found in the reverse field of the 2022 American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coin. The design element depicts the head of the bald eagle in left-profile relief with incredible detail in the plumage of the bird. The details of the birds power are captured in its piercing gaze and powerful beak. The inscriptions on this side read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1 OZ. FINE GOLD, and 50 DOLLARS.
History
Jennie Norris created the bald eagle for the American Eagle Gold Coin in 2020. Her design was chosen from a collection of more than 30 possible options. Ms. Norris is a graphic designer and member of the US Mint Artistic Infusion Program.

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
