Reverse

For the reverse design of the 2022 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin, the mint features an image of the American bald eagle. This all-new design debuted halfway through 2021 as a replacement for the original reverse design by John Mercanti. This new design shows the eagle in flight as it grips an oak branch in its talons. Inscriptions on this face read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER, and ONE DOLLAR.
