History
The Jurassic Park media franchise began in 1990, when Michael Crichton published his legendary novel about genetically engineered dinosaurs. In 1993, director Steven Spielberg released the film adaptation of Jurassic Park, which became a box office sensation. It was followed by two more sequels. Then in 2015, the franchise was revitalized with the release of Jurassic World, which featured a brand-new cast of characters. The series comes full circle in 2022 with the release of Jurassic World: Dominion, which combines the new heroes with the original 1993 cast.
