Obverse
On the obverse of 2022 Antique Gods of Olympus Athena 5 oz Silver Coins, you will find a right-profile effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is captured here in the most popular effigy of her reign by Ian Rank-Broadley. This 1998 design shows the Queen wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. Reverse
The reverse side of the 2022 Antique Tuvalu Gods of Olympus Athena Silver Coin features the namesake goddess. She is shown here in the midst of a battle. Set in right-profile relief, she raises a shield in her right hand to defend herself as she uses her left hand to thrust a spear through the air. An owl is depicted flying through the sky as well. The lone inscription reads ATHENA.
History
Athena is associated with warfare, wisdom, and handicraft in Greek mythology. She is one of the many children of Zeus, with one version of her birth saying that she was born from the forehead of Zeus.
