The 2022 Australian Lunar Tiger Gold Coin comes in a protective plastic slab with a label from either of the leading coin graders (NGC or PCGS) that verifies the highest grade a coin can receive: Mint State 70, which indicates a piece in perfect condition, entirely free of visible flaws even under five times magnification.
Obverse
Queen Elizabeth II appears in effigy on the obverse — confirming the coin as legal tender — along with the inscriptions “ELIZABETH II,” “AUSTRALIA,” “1 oz 9999 Au,” and “100 DOLLARS.”
Reverse
A roaring Tiger stands on a crag on the reverse field, accompanied by the lettering “TIGER 2022,” the Chinese character for “Tiger,” and the Perth Mint’s distinctive “P” mint mark.
History
