Obverse
The obverse of 2022 Australian Lunar Tiger Silver Coins features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. In this right-profile depiction from Jody Clark, the Queen is shown at the age of 89 with the George IV State Diadem Crown on her head. This effigy is the first on an Australian coin since 1966 to include the Queens shoulders in the portrait. Inscriptions on this field of the coin include AUSTRALIA, ELIZABETH II, 1 OZ 9999 AG, and 1 DOLLAR.
Reverse
On the reverse side of 2022 Australian Lunar Tiger 1 oz Silver Coins is an image of two tigers. This years design shows a protective adult tiger walking along rocky terrain as its young cub follows closely behind. The background field includes foliage such as ferns and bamboo. Other features on this side of the coin include the P mint mark of Perth Mint, inscriptions of 2022 and TIGER, and the Chinese symbol for a tiger.
History
The 2022 Lunar Tiger release is the third of the new Lunar Series III program. The silver bullion range includes 10 Kilo, 1 Kilo, 5 oz, 2 oz, 1 oz, and 1/2 oz BU coins. The 10 Kilo and 1 oz coins are the only issues with mintage limits set. However, all coins in the 2022 Lunar Tiger Series will only be struck to the mintage limits or until the release of the next design in the series.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
