Alongside the likes of the American Eagle, Canadian Maple Leaf, British Britannia, and the Mexican Libertad, the Austrian Philharmonic Series is an annual-release bullion coin that features the same design elements on the obverse and reverse each year. The coins in this series were designed by Thomas Pesendorfer, Chief Engraver of the Austrian Mint. Right now, you can buy 2022 Austrian Philharmonic 1 oz Silver Coins online from Provident Metals.

A pipe organ within the Golden Concert Hall is featured in the obverse design of the 2022 Austrian Philharmonic Silver Coin. The design shows the beautiful pipe organ that was installed in the main concert hall in 1907 and refurbished in 2011. Inscriptions on this side of the coin read REPUBLIK OSTERREICH, 1 UNZE FEINSILBER, 2021, and 1 EURO.
In the reverse design of 2022 Austrian Philharmonic 1 oz Silver Coins, the Austrian Mint features a collection of musical instruments. The design includes a cello in the center, four violins split two on either side of the cello, and a bassoon right behind the cello. Other background instruments include a French horn and a harp. The inscriptions on this face of the coin include WIENER PHILHARMONIKER and 2022.
Austrian Philharmonic Silver Coins debuted in 2008. The coins are only available in 1 oz silver and the record mintage in the series remains the figure of 17.87 million coins sold in 2011. After years of low mintage figures from 2016 to 2019, the Austrian Philharmonics rebounded in 2020 on strong demand for silver to sell a total of 7.193 million coins. Thats the highest mintage in the series since 2013.
