For the obverse design of 2022 Chinese Panda Platinum Coins, the Chinese Mint features its static design that has been in place since 1982. The Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests is found on this face of the coins. It is accompanied by an inscription of the words PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF CHINA in the written language of China and there is also a 2022 date mark.

In the reverse design of the 2022 Chinese Panda 30 Gram Platinum Coin, you will find a playful design featuring two giant pandas. The duo enjoys some freshly fallen snow as they take to a hill to go sliding. One panda is daringly going down head first on its belly, while the other is carefree as it slides down on its back with all four legs in the air. The inscriptions on this side include 30 G PT .999, the face value of 1000, and the 40th-anniversary privy mark. The privy mark features a pandas head emerging from the zero in 40.

Chinese Panda bullion coins were launched in 1982. The first options included only gold coins, with silver proofs issued starting in 1983. The silver BU version of the coin was not available until 1989.
