History
In 2022, the U.S. Mint issued the first of four sets featuring influential American women. Each year, as many as five designs will be released to the public. The program will conclude in 2025. For the inaugural set, the mint pays tribute to physicist and astronaut Sally Ride, Cherokee Chief Wilma Mankiller, author Maya Angelou, suffrage leader Nina Otero-Warren, and film star Anna May Wong.
