Obverse
The coin’s obverse side features an Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of the late Queen Elizabeth II, verifying it as legal tender. This is accompanied by the inscriptions “ELIZABETH II,” “NIUE,” “FIVE DOLLARS,” and “2022.”
Reverse
The reverse side of the coin has a realistically-engraved visage of a tiger’s head captured in mid-roar. Every detail of that head is visible in lovingly-rendered detail accentuated by a high-relief design.

The Fierce Nature series from the New Zealand Mint is dedicated to the celebration of some of the most famous and beautiful wildlife species in the world.
