History
Due to the prevalence of Neo-Gothic styles in art during the mid-19th century, William Wyon and his collaborator William Dyce chose to employ this aesthetic for their new coin honoring Queen Victorias 10-year anniversary upon the throne. The result was a magnificent specimen that was a hit with both the Queen and the general public. Enthusiasm for the Gothic Crown hasnt slowed down either, with many collectors citing it among their favorite coin designs of all time.
