With a total issue of 23,160 gold coins, the Royal Mint is limiting its issue of these coins in presentation boxes to 17,500 coins only.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2022 Proof Memorial Sovereign Gold Coin comes with an all-new portrait of King Charles III. The first portrait of His Majesty to grace these coins, this left-profile relief was created by Martin Jennings and lacks a crown, in keeping with Royal Mint tradition for kings. Inscriptions include CHARLES III and DEI GRA REX FID DEF.
Reverse
On the reverse side of 2022 Proof British Memorial Sovereign Coins, you will find the Royal Arms of the United Kingdom. This design includes the coat of arms of the United Kingdom with the Lion of England and the Unicorn of Scotland in support of the shield. Inscriptions include DIEU ET MON DROIT and 2022.
History
The Proof British Memorial Sovereign honors the reign of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with its Royal Arms image on the reverse. At the same time, it marks a transition for the series with the first-ever King Charles III portrait on the obverse.

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
