Obverse

Her Majesty is shown here in right-profile relief in a 2015 design from Jody Clark. This effigy shows the Queen at the age of 89 and includes the George IV State Diadem Crown. The inscriptions on this face include 500 POUNDS, ELIZABETH II, and D.G. REG. F.D.
Reverse
The reverse field of 2022 Proof British Tudor Beasts Seymour Panther Silver Coins features the Seymour Panther. Given to Jane Seymour by King Henry VIII, the panther is traditionally depicted with flames coming from its mouth and ears. The design elements on this side include a seated panther with a spotted body and a shield with the Seymour Wings emblazoned. The inscriptions include SEYMOUR PANTHER and 2022.
History
King Henry VIII was the second monarch of the House of Tudor and followed in the footsteps of his father, King Henry VII. Henry VII ascended to the throne as leader of the House of Lancaster and defeated King Richard III of the House of York at the Battle of Bosworth. During Henry VIIIs reign, the leopard of his previous wife, Anne Boleyn, was quickly turned around as a panther to serve as the symbol of Jane Seymour.
