History

Freddy Krueger made his debut inA Nightmare on Elm Streetas the dreadful undead echo of a serial child slayer who had evaded the justice system in life, but was then tracked down and immolated by the families of his victims. This was the source of the scarred visage he bore as he took to the world of dreams as a new playground for his murderous urges. In dreams, he still wielded the bladed glove he had used in life, but his true weapon was the darkest fears and most frightful imaginings of the adolescents he targeted as he became a vivid and lethal manifestation of their trauma and life challenges.
